THE ENERGY OF ART

In this two-hour workshop, we’ll explore the subtle body — the energy that flows through us — using yoga, chanting, discussion, and collage as our tools. This is not about making perfect shapes or perfect art. It’s about tuning in, getting creative, and exploring the energy that flows when making art.

No yoga or art experience is needed. This is a space for noticing, letting go, and allowing whatever wants to surface — through breath, through movement, and through your own creative expression.

ANATOMY OF
THE CHAKRAS

Our body and all that exists in our world is comprised of energy. The physical body as well as the energy that surrounds it pulses and resonates at different levels, depending on choices we make....and can bring either balance and good health, or contribute to illness and dis-ease. In this workshop we will explore the energies that make us who we are....and learn techniques to utilize on a daily basis to keep the energy humming, keep our body healthy, and our life in balance.

What we will cover in this workshop:

  • Learn what the chakras are and how to locate them

  • Understand the physical, psychological and emotional aspects of these important energetic regions of our being

  • Be introduced to tools that can be done at home to clear and balance the energies within the chakras, including yoga, breathwork, chanting, meditation and self-exploration

  • Look at how our psyche and our emotions affect our energetic being and vice versa...and how to bring those all into harmony
