Reinventing our community with safe practices….

The health and safety of our community is our top priority, and we seek your assistance in these unprecedented times. Sun Dog Yoga will continually and thoroughly clean and disinfect the studio as classes resume.  We look forward to continuing to provide a safe and healthy yoga environment for our beloved yoga community. We believe yoga is a safe and wonderful way to stay healthy. We hope that you will continue your yoga practice with us, keeping our yoga community thriving and strong.

WHAT WE WILL BE DOING FOR YOU

WEARING MASKS: As of December, 2020 we are following the PA State Mask Mandate. This states that ALL students and teachers will need to wear masks the entire time you are in the studio, including while practicing. We recommend wearing a thinner or stretchy fabric mask to assist in breathability. We do have a limited number of disposable masks should you forget yours.

PLACEMENT OF MATS: Safe distancing practices are in effect.  The studio floor is marked off to ensure that mats are placed 6’ apart . Please place your mat just behind the taped line.

SURFACES AND AIR CIRCULATION: To keep our studio germ-free, we will be cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces, door knobs, bathroom fixtures, floors, and often-touched areas. We will open windows, keep the studio door open and window behind the front desk open for cross breeze, and use ceiling fans when needed. We are implementing a strict cleaning procedure and will be cleaning/sanitizing all touch surfaces after each class and thus must allow more time between classes. We ask that you wash your hands before and after class, or use hand sanitizer that you will find throughout the studio for your needs.

PROPS, MATS, & BELONGINGS:  We will not be offering blocks, straps, blankets, or borrow mats at this time. Please bring only what you need to the studio, including your own mat and minimal props…the less stuff the better!

BATHROOMS: We recommend using the bathroom before you come to the studio...we will have one bathroom available for use during this time (the one with the window so we can have air flow).

LOST/LEFT BEHIND ARTICLES: Sun Dog Yoga is not responsible for any personal items left behind at the studio. They will be disposed of same day.

CLASSES THAT SUIT YOUR NEEDS: We will be LIVESTREAMING most all of our “in-studio” class sessions! So if you are not able or ready to return to our physical studio space, you may still get the same great classes that we have been offering on Zoom at home. When you go to our Schedule Page to enroll you will see options for “IN-STUDIO” or “LIVESTREAM” classes…simply choose the one that suits your needs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

ARRIVAL:

Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to start timethis is when the studio door will be opened. We ask that you come up the stairs and leave your shoes on the shelves outside the front door.  Due to the PA Mask Mandate you must wear a mask at all times during your visit, including during practice (we suggest wearing a lighter weight mask for better comfort).  We will have the front door open prior to class and will have a hand sanitizing station directly inside the front door for your use.  After you take off your shoes, you may store personal goods in available cubbies and proceed directly into the studio.  You can place your mat down on one of the marked spots, sit down and keep your mask on until class begins.  We will have two stations with tissue and hand sanitizer for you inside the studio space.  If you need to blow your nose please go to one of the stations, use the tissue and dispose of it there...no tissues on the floor near your mat.

When class is finished, please roll up your mat, exit the room, pick up your personal goods and leave the studio promptly...this will give us the time needed to sanitize the studio before the next class.

REGISTRATION:

We ask that students PRE-REGISTER for all in-studio classes in advance via our website.  Simply sign into your account and enroll. Due to the smaller class capacity (9 students) we ask that you notify us 12 hours prior to class if you need to cancel…we want to make every space accessible to anyone who wants to attend…so appreciate your consideration for others.

We ask that you arrive by class start time...no late entries after class begins. Drop-ins, while permitted, will be at your own risk due to limited class size….once we reach our 9 student max, the front door will be locked prior to class.

If you are unable to sign up online to reserve your spot, you can email us at:
info@sundogyogastudio.com to reserve your space the day prior to class...we will sign you up and take payment from your account at that time (if you wish to make arrangements to pay by check or need help with making payment, we will help you out). At this time we will accept Credit Card and Checks for payment only.

PATIENCE IS THE YOGIC WAY…

We understand that our “new normal” will take a few minutes more and a little extra planning on everyone’s part…and in doing so, we can give ourselves the best opportunity to practice yoga safely together. We thank you ahead of time for your “flexibility” in moving back into class at Sun Dog Yoga!
